Director, Musical Director, Choreographer, Playwright  

Angelia Bacon graduated with a Bachelor of Science in English Education from Georgia Southern University.  During her years at Georgia Southern, she ended her previous 16 years of Classical dance training, and 10 years dance/drama performance education.  She also taught dancing and choreography.  After graduation, Angelia taught Honors English courses at Claxton High School and worked as an Assistant Director in Drama.   She then worked as English Department and Literary Chair at Bulloch Academy where she directed The Drama Ensemble for 3 years.  For two years her team competed in State competition for One Act plays and received high honors.  Some of the works under her direction/assistance were Copellia and The Nutcracker, Chorus Line, Rappacinni’s Daughter, The Door, Flowers of Algernon, King Lear and O’ Pioneers.  She also led her students to State in Oral interpretation and Extemporaneous Speaking categories.  During this time she also was the head of the cheerleading and dance groups who also competed and received several honors as well. 

After having children, Angelia began leading the children’s choir productions at her local Church.  She also taught ballet and tap in Covington, GA which led to her assisting in many on stage productions.  Angelia began home schooling in 2003.  At Master’s Academy, she began assisting with Drama and choreography which lead to her assisting in the founding and creation of the Drama Club.  She directed three major productions while there…Narnia, Peter Pan and Shakespeare!  During this time Angelia was able to use her writing skills as an English major to rewrite many plays and scripts.  She is now the founder and proud owner of Christian Youth Performers, and had an awesome first session in Fall 2010 with Into The Woods.  Her husband Brad is Co-musical director, business partner and sound tech.  Both of Angelia’s children, Devin and Dylan, are actors as well.
